I might have to try detecting charges in the 1fC - 1pC range.  A suitable test source seems to be a sphere on an insulator charged up to a few volts.  Then I touch it to the scope probe and see what I can detect.  Then apparently I should add a "trans-impedance amplifier".  Dunno if any of this will work but it's worth a try.  #physics #electronics
