I downloaded v4.13 yesterday morning.  I copied my old results.dat from v4.12 (which began with the uberresults and contains all my results since then).

When I was running v4.12, most (at least 3/4ths) of my recent results were 1.8% or better.  Now after 24 hours of v4.12 (1.4 Ghz P4, 61 results, but that's another thread wink) my best result is just under 1.8%.

I noticed that the version history says that v4.13 contains a new more accurate pi_plus.csv file.  Does it make sense to combine results from v4.13 with the rest of v4.1x?

Should I have copied the results.dat from v4.12, or should I start from scratch?

By the way, I like the improvements to Muon1viewresults.exe.

The real improvement is going to come in version 4.2, with higher accuracy.  I'm just testing out the new pion set now to see what effect it has on the muon scores.  I would have thought the number of muons should be increased, but this is not the only efficiency to be considered, as the target has a pions-per-proton ratio, which in the end is multiplied by the muons-per-pion ratio.  I think the first of these is now higher for this target.

As for combining results, I would start afresh by deleting results.dat (you don't lose any results-stats like this because results.txt is the one sent to me).
