2025-Jun-30 20:33:37 It's small (70nA) but I got first beam out of the electron gun in my ion trap experiment.   It's the dim green spot that shows up on the near screen, or the line on the far screen, where I steered it using the gun's built-in electrodes but it also changed the shape!   There's also a photo with flash to show the screens.   #physics #accelerators
